The inspiration for the design of the Iranian national team's emblem came from the rich history of the country and the Persian people.

The general shape of the emblem is a duplication of mosque arches that are common in Iranian architecture.

The elements within the emblem:

The team's nickname is "The National Team", and following this, during the research into the Persian nationality in the country, the Persian lion that was also on the country's flag in the past was taken as the main motif in the team's emblem.

The lion received a formal abstraction and its general shape takes inspiration from mosaic shapes found in a mosque in the Isfahan province of Iran. The lion also received decorations on its face that correspond to the Egyptian crowns on the country's flag.

In addition, the emblem also includes a gold line that recalls the gold color of the lion that was on the country's previous flag and its rich past, as well as the team's name in English and Arabic.

The inspiration for the design of the Iranian national team's uniform comes from the stained glass windows of the Nasir ol Mulak Mosque in Shiraz. The colorful art on the walls creates a spectacular play of light on the floor of the mosque as the sun's rays pass through them.

These colors and shapes celebrate the country's culture and were therefore chosen to appear on the national team's home uniform.

After choosing the colored windows as the main motif, the general shape of the logo was taken as a recurring motif to create a pattern for the team's shirt that would recall the shapes created on the floor of the mosque by the colored windows.

The pattern created appears in a strip on the front and back and the rest of the shirt was painted white to give the pattern room to stand out.
