The emblem draws from Yemen’s rich history and natural uniqueness. Its shape is inspired by the ancient entrance gate of Sana'a, a symbol of the country’s heritage.
At the center is a stylized dragon’s blood tree, native only to the island of Socotra. Known for its distinct shape and deep red sap, the tree was flattened and adapted to fit the emblem’s structure symbolizing resilience and identity.
The design reflects the team’s nickname, “The Happy Yemenis”, and includes the team’s name in English and Arabic, celebrating both cultural pride and international presence.
The home kit is inspired by the ornamental gates of the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina, the second most sacred site in Saudi Arabia. This architectural detail was chosen for its deep cultural and religious significance.
The gate’s intricate decoration was digitized and transformed into a repeating pattern featured on the jersey.
Gold accents were added to select stripes within the pattern, echoing the original ornamentation and adding a sense of elegance and reverence.
